SUNDOWN'S I'M SPOTACULAR WENT WINNERS DOG BOTH DAYS AT THE HAMBURG NY SHOW IN JANUARY, 2012. SUNDOWN'S I'M SPOTACULAR TOOK BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES AND 2 MAJOR RESERVES THIS WEEKEND AT THE GREAT DANE CLUB OF WNY GREAT DANE SPECIALTY SHOW! THANK YOU TO HIS CO-OWNER DAVID FOR THE GREAT JOB HANDLING HIM! CH. LAKESIDE'S RAISING CAINE FINISHED WITH 17 POINTS TOTAL, 4 MAJORS, 5 MAJOR RESERVES AND SOME SINGLE POINTS. THANK YOU TO ALL THE JUDGES WHO PUT HIM UP! THANK YOU TO MY FRIEND DAVID FOR THE WONDERFUL JOB HE DOES WITH HIM! THANK YOU TO MICHELLE KRAUS FOR THE WONDERFUL JOB SHE HAS DONE TRAINING AND PREPARING HIM TO BE A CHAMPION! THIS IS THE SECOND CHAMPION OUT OF SENECA'S NATIVE AMERICAN CH. SUNDOWN'S LAKESIDE REFLECTIONS "COAL" FINISHED HIS CHAMPIONSHIP ON SATURDAY WITH A 3 POINT MAJOR. HE WENT WINNERS DOG AND BEST OF WINNERS! My dogs are raised in my home. I do not kennel and I do not sell them to anyone who plans on kenneling them. Great Danes are too social to be kept away from the people they love. My pups are whelped in my family room where they stay until they are ready to go to their new homes. I believe in socializing them as much as possible. I recommend all new puppy buyers to get their new family member into an obedience/socialization class as soon as the second shots have been done. Great danes grow so fast that you want to be in control before they are as big as you! If you don't want them to behave badly at 150 lbs don't allow them to do so at 25 lbs. Sundown Danes started in 1994 when I bought my home. I bought my first dane as my house warming present to myself! At that time the breeder said "you will have another in the next year" I responded "Are you crazy???" She was right! I have learned much along the way about the breed and the issues that come with it. I have relied on some wonderful mentors such as Linda Altomare from Magic Manor Danes and Steve Stevens from Sasdania! They have both been so kind in sharing their vast knowledge about the breed and the pedigrees! I have been fortunate enough to have a great friend David willing to handle, co-own, co-Breed some of my dogs as well! He has been a wonderful Mentor too! My dogs are health tested and at the time of a breeding they are to my knowledge completely healthy! I believe Great Danes have to be SOUND in mind as well as body. My dogs are bred as much for their temperament as their beauty! I have tried to bring back some substance to the breed I love so much.
